How do we unplug from all these frequencies overgrown with misery. Full of fallacies and distorted realities that tell us we aren't popular enough, worth enough, rich enough like that is something we even cared about. How do we go back to what poh poh & gong gong taught us about breathing free, eating our veggies, being respectful of others and getting outside please. Are we afraid of disconnecting completely, being hard to reach, losing visibility through gigabytes, all the likes, and the constant stream of...
When I'm able to wake up and not be blinded by the blue artificial lights that absorb any and all joy that I mustered up in my sleep-I'm able to stretch out my soul to let it receive all these frequencies that make sense to me. Inviting all the transmissions that plant seeds into my being, nurturing the good until it all blooms for my community to see, for my ma and sisters to see, for my ancestors to be like, “damn, I can really breathe”. I'm thinking about the time you told me how the world is an overwhelming place and now everyone I come across since then I've been trying to help ease that. To lessen the suffering that surrounds our lives in the ways I've been taught.
It's okay if you're taking longer than expected. I'm here practicing to arrive at every moment and I haven't forgotten you. We are allowed to say no, I won't join you, I'm going to stay home and hang out with my dog. We are allowed to follow the path that we believe in without all the pressure of expectations and false interpretations. We'll see you soon, don't worry, I'll keep the rice warm.
